This page is dedicated to the play by email game Warlord, run by KJC Games in the UK. It is intended to give newer players some tips, hints, and ideas to make the game more enjoyable as well as give more experienced players a place to exchange ideas. |
The premise behind the game is that the world of Dexet has just finished waiting out the nuclear winter of a global holocaust, with everyone in isolated bunkers. They have now come out and want to take over the rest of the world, and you are in charge of your own bunker! This is an excellent game because it requires that you use strategy to out play other human opponents. It normally starts with 100 players, a random map and random player placement. This effectively minimizes pre-set alliances between regular players as the odds are against them being very close together. This game, like other play-by-mails, also allows you the opportunity to meet new and exciting people from different and interesting places, then destroy them. Different game variations are being tried by KJC so check with them for the latest news. Some starting positions are better than others, but frequently it is what you make of it that counts. Remember, the whole purpose here is to have fun ruining someone else's empire. |

My name is Andy Tuthill and my empires are all called Greenpeace for the ironic humor. However, my playing style has nothing to do with peace. Most of my former opponents will vouch for that. Don't get me wrong, I like trees and animals. You need to build a good fire to be able to cook the animals. If you want my credentials then go get a life. I made this site on my own to try and help newer players. I may not always win, but I like to think I do well given half a chance. Okay, I've never won yet but I hope to change that sooner or later. I almost won game 35 in a coalition but such is life. I will post something in the guestbook after each game as a wrap-up. |

KJC has their own forum, and many players are signed up on the Yahoo group warlord36 which gets a lot of traffic so don't miss it. KJC has a link to it on the links page to make life easy. If you have something you wish to share either place is good to post messages. Dont forget to check back occasionally because who knows what information will be posted by other players in the guestbook. In case you are wondering about the cool background, I did this because I know not everyone has a T1 connection for downloading huge files and I have limited space for a free web site. |
